I am a Devon based artist specialising in commissioned animal portraits in watercolour, pastel or oils. I also exhibit marine and landscape paintings. Please enjoy viewing the galleries and contact me for further information.
I began painting in 1993 when I lived in the New Forest where the diversity of birds, wildlife, land and seascape constantly inspired me. On early morning walks through the woods I would see ponies and deer still slumbering beside the dew ponds. Walks by the rivers on frosty mornings would be magical with boats and yachts at anchor amid the rising mists from the water and the orange glow of the sun.
When I moved to Devon in 2000 I formed CanzArt, a group of 15 professional West Country artists. The successful group has had many exhibitions throughout the region and exhibits annually.
Now living in Gidleigh near Chagford on the edge of Dartmoor, I am a regular exhibitor with Devon Art Networks and have an ever-growing diary for commissioned portraits of animals and children in oils, pastels and water colour as well as painting landscapes and seascapes. I have exhibited on numerous occasions with the Society of Women Artists and The Wildlife Art Society and have had paintings accepted in The St Barbe exhibition and The South West Academy. Featured in 'The Field' magazine, 'Sporting Gun' magazine and 'Artists & Illustrators around the New Forest and Solent' by Robert Coles and illustrated 'The Sinews of Falconry' by Gordon Robinson.
