I began painting in 1993 when I lived in the New Forest where there the diversity of birds, wildlife, land and seascape constantly inspired me. On early morning walks through the woods I would see ponies and deer still slumbering beside the dew ponds. Walks by the rivers on frosty mornings would be magical with boats and yachts at anchor amid the rising mists from the water and the orange glow of the sun. 

I came to Devon in 2000 and formed CanzArt, a group of 14 professional West Country Artists and the inaugural exhibition was a huge success. The group has had many successful exhibitions throughout the region.

Now living in Gidleigh near Chagford on the edge of Dartmoor, I am a regular exhibiter with Devon Art Networks and have an ever-growing diary for commissioned portraits of animals and children in oils, pastels and watercolour as well as painting landscapes and seascapes.  Regular art classes and workshops will keep me contentedly busy for the foreseeable future!
